Today, 14
thApril, here in
Narberth, the first returning House Martins are back in town, and down on our patch (
Waundrwgi Farm) a pair of Willow Tits are busily excavating a hole. During this activity the pair take alternate turns removing a bill-full of wood, working at a rate of up to ten visits per minute, and that includes flying off and depositing the chippings away from the hole. It is quite something to watch.
