From the railings - 2 Black-tailed Godwit, 2 Bar-tailed Godwit and 2 Sandwich Tern.
On the sea side of the spit - 4 Whimbrel and 4 more Bar-tailed Godwit (one was a smaller bird with asymetrical white patches in the wings).
7 Sandwich Tern feeding in the tidal race over the bar.
