WeBs count today produced nothing particularly special but locally reasonable numbers of
redshank (99)
greenshank (9) curlew (140)
oystercatcher (44) and little egret (18)
all roosting in their usual locations at New Shipping on
Carew River and
Cresswell River. Small numbers of swallows and house martins feeding over both rivers but little sign of any real
hirundine passage. Good views of Kingfisher at Carew French Mill, where they often feed.
