Info Post
Highlight of a thoroughly enjoyable Sunday afternoon tetrad-bashing with Steve Sutcliffe was a Jack Snipe flushed on Dale Airfield. We also saw 4 Common Snipe, 6 Curlew and 23 Lapwing, while the pond there produced 2 Teal and 7 Mallard. The same large flocks of Starlings (3000+ in one) as reported by Derek G, but we missed the Ringtail on Marloes Mere in what was a remarkably raptor-free afternoon (only a single Buzzard and Kestrel). Good numbers of Blackbirds and Song Thrushes, but only a single Redwing seen.
