Info Post
Sightings and photo from Sue Lamb - 2 swifts, 2 tufted ducks et al, plus female marsh harrier. It flew over the mere until mobbed by a single crow, which forced it downinto the long reeds to the left of the hide. After some fussing abouta bit the crow flew off and returned mob handed. He and his mates proceed to dive bomb the sitting harrier and finally it rose and an aerial bombardment began. The harrier was once again forced into cover and after some intense harrassment the crows flew off, except one vigilant soul, posted on a nearby bush. Obviously on sentry duty. Great spectacle!
