The Great Skua that Clive saw yesterday was still around - from the fort it could be seen on the water eating an auk off the end of the outer breakwater. Also 2 Great Northern Divers, 3 Red-throated divers and 2 Great-crested Grebes.
On to Newport where there were 9 Dunlin and 11 Ringed Plover. A drake Goosander was downstream of the iron bridge and a Kingfisher. Near the golf course road there were c1,000 Lapwing, some Golden Plover and a flock of about 100 Skylarks flying around calling.
