The Starlings at the Plumstone roost this evening didn't give one of their best displays, but the sheer number of birds was truly impressive. I wouldn't like to estimate the size of this roost , but if someone suggested a million birds, I would not argue. Three Ringtails and a Buzzard loitered round the treetops with intent, and a Peregrine also did a quick recce.
