Bird record software

I still have all my bird records in notebooks going back 25+ years and want to transfer them onto my computer. Does anyone use or can recommend a bird record database program for keeping tabs on bird sightings/locality info etc? I have seen one called 'Bird Watchers Tick List' available for £14.99 which would appear to do the job, does anyone use it? Comments welcomed.
