Cwm-yr-Eglwys

1 x Peregrine (ad) - hunting over Dinas Island and adjacent coast, Fishguard Bay. Sent up Curlews from one of Island Farm's fields.
1 x Water Rail - able to watch this one for a while as it probed around amongst the wet leaves, and before it trotted into heavy cover showing very similar undertail markings to my Jack Russell. Beautiful bird. Remembered how excruciating it was having to watch helplessly as another Water Rail was drowned by a pack of Herring Gull & Lesser Blk-backs below a drilling rig off the Smalls a couple of autumns ago (a Snipe was also intercepted by the gulls and met the same fate). Eek.
