Yesterday at Marloes Mere

We were there in the morning but missed the harrier! There were loads of snipe about however, with at least 10 feeding in the open in the bright sunshine in the field below the pink cottage, some quite close (Alas no camera) Also small scatterings of lapwings and 2 golden plover feeding with redwings in a grass/clover field on the other side of the track. 150 or so canada geese and a calling water rail. Ducks mostly lurking behind tussocks.
