Info Post
At Landshipping Quay this morning c.100 Dunlin, 15 Redshank, 1 Greenshank, 80 Teal and a few Wigeon. A pair of Mallard Mating. A Kingfisher hovered close by over the water but before I had the camera set up!
In the lanes nearby a Peregrine zoomed low over the car and in a field by Beggars Reach it was unusual to see c.200 Dunlin roosting in the middle of a field as the tide rose. Plenty of Lapwings and Redwings in the area.
At Garron Pill 1 Jack Snipe as well as 20 Common Snipe and a Greenshank.
Round at Llawrenny there were c.700 Dunlin, 40 Redshank, 1 Grey Plover, 150 Shelduck. In the fields just by the river there were 500+ Chaffinch with at least 1 Brambling and 100 Linnet, 6 Reed Bunting. (Rich C and Morris North)
