Report and photo sent in recently of a strange looking Shoveller at Bosherston. Bob Haycock has advised as follows - I believe the bird is a hybrid (probably a Shoveler x Mallard). This clearly is an oddity - we have had a couple of other odd hybrid mallard types in the general area in recent years. I cannot be entirely sure of the species involved but I am confident it is a hybrid.
