At Kilpaison this afternoon, again worth braving the gale force winds and rain (which eventually stopped) with good numbers of waders close in as the tide rose. 100+ each of Dunlin and Ringed Plover (too windy for a decent count) 12+ Turnstone, c20 Sanderling and 11 Knot - the highlight this bird still showing a good deal of summer plumage.
