Info Post
A single Ringed Plover flew south along the tideline this morning. There were several small, scattered groups of mainly Black-headed and Herring Gulls but constant disturbance by dogs kept them on the move or forced them out onto the sea. Unfortunately, dog walkers frequently ignore the notices showing the areas of the beach where dogs are banned by bylaw and many exercise no control over their animals whatever part of the beach they are on, allowing their dogs to chase resting or feeding birds.
