On Sunday 4th we looked in on Dick's Field (you will recall it was the scene of last month's appearance of The Bunting, The Lark) and we found a very summery looking Dunlin together with 2 Ringed Plover feeding amongst newly sown shoots of cereals, peas and grass. (it was a three crop sowing).

So guess what? We've started a new list!.....Dicks List. Not counting the Richards Pipit of yesteryear, the number of species for this year stands at 19. To qualify, the bird must be seen feeding on the ground. Go on, say it.
