Hadn't seen it for a while, but early this morning, upon lobbing some stale bread into the garden, 15 or so Jackdaws quickly appeared and there he/she was - so presumably breeding close by!
Thanks to Paul for the loan of a pair of lighter bins than mine, Italy produced many Serins, several Honey Buzzards, Red-backed Shrike, Italian Sparrows, a Black Kite and the biggest surprise, a flock of 100+ Red Avadavats!!! A complete surprise to me, but have since looked it up:
