Went down to Blackpool Mill late this afternoon. Watching a spotted
flycatcher, Canada geese with two youngsters and two young Grey Wagtails on the river, all of a sudden serious alarm calls fron blackbirds
and a sparrowhawk flies out of the woods with a young Blackbird in its Talons. Walking down the Leet and again Blackbird alarms and spotted
a young Tawny Owl being fed by one of its parents. 30 birds in a hour
better than watching the football!
