Woodchat Shrike;-
See below for access/ parking.
The bird was last seen at 1100 this am. It has been looked for since & when Adrian, Paul & I left, It was still being looked for, by Lyndon, Stuart & Nathan. At the site it is suprisingly windy this pm, so the bird may be sheltering somewhere. It sounds as if the bird will be looked for this evening & again in the morning.
At the holiday cottage close by, the guests came to see the shrike, very happy, especially a Canadian birder on holiday here! Obviously the Woodchat Shrike a new bird(she did say that they hadn't seen the bird before this week).
In the ensuing conversation she described how she was doing 2 10km squares for the Province of Ontario Bird Atlas with no less than 13000 other "square bashers!!
Bob any ideas?!!
Woodchat Shrike -- 1700 update.
