This month's magic moment?
Info Post
Circumstances were special enough around lunchtime today standing at the Minwear viewpoint looking at a landscape snow scene bathed in low elevated sunshine, but, while scoping a male Goosander swimming upstream below us, a Green Sandpiper passed through the image with a male Goshawk hot on its tail. Perhaps, at this time of the year it would be appropriate to say that this was the icing on the cake. If there was any doubt of the hawk's gender, all was revealed when a Sparrowhawk chased it off and the two birds spiralled high above us. Pure magic and no wonder we are looking forward to another year of birding.
