A Curlew Sandpiper still in Summer plumage on Porthlysgi beach this morning. A rather 'stretched' shot I'm afraid, taken from the clifftop path. The only other bird on the beach other than 5 Oyster Catchers was a solitary adult Med. Gull.
It has been suggested to me that there is a strong possibillity this bird is in fact a Knot, and after looking again at some of the other photos I took I have to agree. Many thanks Richard and Dave.
