Info Post
Hi Guys,
My name is Dave Collins, i am a birder from the West Midlands
and i was lucky enough to find the barred warbler this afternoon.
I was watching the shrike on the perimeter fence when this bird
just popped out and showed quite well for 10 mins in the sun.
I telephoned Bird Guides because I hadn't got the number for RBA.
After having a pager for over 10 years I decided
to give it up in August as I thought my twitching days were over!
but with an Isabelline Wheatear and an Isabelline Shrike,
the temptation was too great.
A local couple got me on to the Shrike in the valley,
i think they were the guys that found it originally.
I did try to find them to tell them about the Barred warbler
but was unable to locate them.
Although the photo is not brilliant,
due to trying to shoot through a fence,
if it's any use to you guys i have no objections
to you using this photograph.
Kind regards,
Dave Collins (West Midlands)
