A day out on the Dale peninsula
Info Post
The day started with a bang with a crisp juvenile Red-backed Shrike on the Deer Park, found at 8.20 this morning. Also a Spotted Flycatcher in the valley. On to the Gann which was quiet, a Bar-tailed Godwit, 4 Teal, and 4 White Wagtails. Up to the airfield and the second good find of the day, a very confiding juvenile Dotterel at the far west end of the main E-W runway. Another 7 White Wagtails here. Some wader footprints in the muddy margins of the pool that remains, no idea what though! Relatively quiet at St. Ann's HEad & Kete, finished at Marloes Mere where the Glossy Ibis was showing quite close to the track, and 2 Black-tailed Godwits circled a few times before flying off SEwards.
