Black Redstart near Angle
Info Post
A walk along the coast path from Freshwater West to Angle - currently receiving a haircut from some beef cattle and sheep so heavy going in places! Highlight a black redstart flitting about the coastal slope 3/4 of the way to Sheep Island. Otherwise the usual birds - skylarks, rock and meadow pipits, stonechats, dunnocks, but no linnets. A scattering of song thrushes along the coast path. One snipe near East Blockhouse, flock of lapwing (>100) in coastal field on South Studdock. One kestrel, a couple of buzzards, 2 ravens, no peregrine. Chough (guess 2) heard but not seen near Sheep Island.
