I had a report of two Bitterns, seen together and courting (!!!) on Tuesday night, 5.30-6pm, Kingfisher Hide. Both birds in the area of the bamboo ringing pole (left by Richard no-doubt as a marker) to the right of the hide.
It appears that this sort of time is the best to catch a glimpse, albeit in poor light conditions.
