A wonderful opportunity to see this hidden part of Skomer today. Thanks to Chris, the Skomer warden for allowing access for birders into this gem of a migrant trap. Although the target Bobolink wasnt to be found there was plenty to look at. Just one small copse of stream side willows held Chiffs, Blackcaps, several Goldcrests, 3 Tit species and the Yellow-browed warbler.
A quick look at the Deer Park afterwards was worthwhile as there was a Black Redstart on the beach below Rath cottage.
