Lots of birds on the move again yesterday morning, but the clear skies & calm conditions meant I probably missed more than I saw - 1500 Woodpigeons, 5 Stock Doves, 2000 Starlings, 60 Skylarks, 55 Lapwings, 150 Chaffinches, 20 Siskins, 4 Bramblings & a Snow Bunting.
There were plenty of thrushes first thing which all filtered off to the mainland - 120 Blackbirds, 40 Song Thrushes & 150 Redwings.
A Jack Snipe was on North Pond & a flock of 6 Long-tailed Tits came over.
I see Skomer is missing from the Atlas roving winter records - can Bob let me know what I need to do & I'll try & fill in those gaps
Skomer yesterday
