A (very) car-based trip on Sunday afternoon produced:
- Goultrop: Common Scoter flock up to 36
- Newgale: marsh heavily flooded(!). 86 Mallard, 6 Teal, 7 Canada Geese, c15 Black-headed Gulls, c25 Herring Gulls, 1 Greater Black-back. An extremely confiding and very dark Rock Pipit (that wanted to shelter under the front wheel, and was reluctant to move even when I started the engine), 30 Curlew and 28 Oystercatchers
- The Gann: no Snipe seen (vs 25 roosting at same time on Friday), but Goldeneye up to 1M,3F. Great Northern Diver just offshore, and 2 Great-crested Grebe in Dale Roads.
