Migrating Oystercatchers

Like Richard Dobbins I suspected that about 60 Oystercatchers that left the upper Teifi estuary and flew over the visitor centre at Cilgerran at high tide on the 26th of July 1997, were heading towards the Carmarthenshire esuaries. They rose circling, climbing and calling loudly but once they had gained sufficient height fell silent, then set off steadily on a bearing towards Llansteffan, according to my reading of the compass bearing and reference to a map.
