Newgale

At Newgale yesterday evening there were 4 sanderling, two in near breeding plumage and two in winter garb; a couple of sandwich terns in the gull flock where the stream runs out onto the beach at the Pebbles car park; the gull flock included c8 juvenile black-headed gulls, the first I have seen there this year, along with c10 adult black-headed in various stages of moult to winter plumage. There were good numbers of gannet fishing in the bay.
