On Caerfarchell moor this morning I came across a couple of Lesser Whitethroats feeding in the Crab apple trees near the car park, and on the far side of the moor a single Gropper was still reeling. Down at Middle Mill Spotted Flies seem to be breeding in the quarry again this year, although no young birds were seen. At the moment the quarry is shut down - hard hats are not required!
