? Hybrid Gull

At Newport today what I guess was an adult Med/BH Gull hybrid.White wingtips, a thick red beak with a black spot, but BH shape with a small head & BH winter head markings, though black rather than dark brown. Also 250 Canadas (which had flown in from the West over Dinas - does anyone know where they go to when they move W rather than back to Cardigan?),a Greenshank & a few Redshanks, Ringed Plovers & a solitary Dunlin.
