Llangwm & Hook

Yesterday, 5/02/2008;
Guilford Pill, Llangwm,
1. Spotted Redshank feeding along the banks, plenty of Redshank too. 1 ad. Med. Gull in with the other gulls roosting on an island as tide came in. A Brambling heard calling from a nearby garden.

End of Sprinkle Pill, viewing Hook Reach;
(park at East Hook farm & follow bridlepath/footpath around pill edge to point.)

Highlights;
Gt.N.& Red Td. Diver with a Gt.Cd.Grebe feeding on the open river.
27+ Pintail, 8+ Shoveler, c300+ Teal. 2 Greenshank amongst c100 Redshank.
As the gulls formed a roost 1 ad.w. Yellow-legged Gull, & 3 ad. Med. Gulls were picked out amongst the usual 5 species present!
As the Canada Geese came in too, 1 Snow Goose with them.
