Trawling through my old photos, I came across these. Taken in 2006, I found them in our greenhouse, which has since been demolished. Almost cigar like in shape & made with the fresh leaves of a nearby rhododendron, I assumed at first they may have been made by a caterpiller, but the distance from plant to greenhouse was 5 metres, so must `ve been a flying insect of some kind. I never did see what emerged, but remember coming across some reference to some kind of Bee. Any thoughts? Anyone?
