The female/juv black redstart was around the bungalow again today. Other birds that have dropped in today are 2 more goldcrests (nice to see an increase in records after a few barren years following the hard winters), a male house sparrow and an arrival of stonechats - at least 4 or 5 males in the farmhouse valley that weren't here yesterday. Still waiting on that first wheatear.....
5 or 6 lapwing around the ponds today of which 3 were displaying males.
