Info Post

A trip from Fishguard to Rosslare and back had mixed results. In Goodwick Harbour a Med Gull, then on the way over yesterday afternoon there were masses of Kittiwakes, Manx Shearwaters and Auks with quite a few Gannets just past Strumble and at Rosslare large numbers of Kittiwakes, Common and Sandwich Terns with one Arctic Skua. In the evening the sea along the tide line was seething with small fish and Terns in their hundreds were taking advantage of the bonanza a few meters from the shore - a real spectacle but no camera! 40 or so Common Scoter also passed.
This morning on the return leg things were much quieter with relatively small numbers of sea birds enlivened only by a Great Skua near to Fishguard. Disapointing on both legs on the Cetacean front - no Dolphins and a few Porpoises only.
