It was a relief to track down the Hoopoe this morning after walking around likely spots for a couple of miles. It was feeding happily on worms on the grassy edges of the path near the bridge over the railway from Kiln Park to the beach.
2 Swallows were also flying around the golf course.
From Amroth there were 13 Red-breasted Mergansers, 1 Great crested Grebe, 3 Red-throated divers and a few thousand Scoter well over towards Pendine.
