Info Post
We have a small garden in Crundale, put mainly to plants which attract wildlife. In the days of the Butterfly Count we had next to nothing to count, but now that July is over, the garden is full of butterflies! Not only that, but the immature house sparrows and blue and great tits have been joined by four immature blackbirds which spend most of the day at the berries in the rowan tree. We have also had an immature whitethroat and, a first for the garden, an immature lesser whitethroat which has spent the last few days with us We have also got two immature blackcap which are attracted to the Himalayan honeysuckle and its berries.
