Did my Webs count at Catlemartin Corse a day late today around midday. Highlight was a juv Marsh Harrier quartering the ditches - seen from the back of Castlemartin Church. Later it was over the fields quite near to the back of the beach car park at Freshwater West.
The webs itself produced 46 Mallard, 62 Wigeon, 7 Snipe (put up by the Harrier), 1 Curlew, 2 Grey Herons. Not a lot but October counts have produced no water birds at all in the last few years - needless to say there is plenty of water on the Corse already this year. Also c.80 Linnets.
