Nevern Est;-
The Cattle Egret went missing from c11;30 this am.
It's position in the field (see blog below) was taken with a Little Egret, & the cattle wandered into a different field too!
Roost time 17:15,
& another visit to the iron bridge, & sure enough there is perched the Cattle Egret, 4m from the roosting Little Egret. The trees used for the roost are up-stream of the bridge, usually on the Newport side of the river.

To cap the day, a visit to the Little Owl site, where at 18:00 we could hear a Little Owl. At 18:10 it appeared on top of the chimney & started "singing", really throwing it's body into it!
A simple but amazing sight, is this the only "singing" Little Owl we have on the mainland.
Now is the time to find them......if we have any others????
