Newport Sat am

A lovely morning & plenty of activity. 20 Curlews with another 50 on the roost. 12 Teal, 4 Herons, 6 Little Grebes, 9 Redshanks, 40 Lapwings, 60 Wigeon, 13 Ringed Plovers.
Gulls included 4 ad Meds including one ringed as a pullus in N France in 08 which reached the Isle of Man 3 months later. It then disappeared before turning up at Newport 3 years later, where its been seen 4 times in the last fortnight. 2 old friend Gloucester land fill Herring Gulls, & rarest of all, a Tufted Duck moulting into ad M plumage.
