First thing this morning I explored a new patch and enjoyed a lovely Spring walk upstream from the Motte & Bailey castle at Wolfscastle through this nice patch of woodland. 29 species recorded and most residents in song. Rooks building nests, Grey Wags on territory & Great Spots Drumming. Highlights were Kingfisher, 3 Dippers and a male Goosander, not forgetting all the beautiful singing of course!.
