Info Post
Marloes Mere;-
17:34 we found the Greenland White-fronted Geese, all 16 led by the neck-collared bird in one of the lower fields below Trehill Farm..fields that dip away from the road, so you could only see the geese from the Britton Hide / footpath past the YHA looking across.
A drive / look all along the road to Martin's Haven produced no sightings of the geese.
Also on the Mere, the (presumed wing-tagged) fem. Hen Harrier, a perched male Sparrowhawk in front of the hide, 1 Snow Goose with the Canada's & sharing the commonest duck on the mere with Teal....Shoveler!

A quick visit to The Gann, produced a Greenshank on the pools, 27 L.B.Brent Geese, & 4 Med. Gulls (Stuart D did the counting).
To finish a roadside Barn Owl with it's kill just lifting off nr. the St. Ishmael's turn.
(Rich D. & Karen)

A couple of calls with Chris on Skomer ...in case the geese were on the island. The WF Geese haven't been seen on Skomer yet.. but 4 Pink-footed Geese on Monday (1/3/10)
