Good views of the Bittern in the reed bed below Stackpole court this afternoon. Initially there was no sign of it then rustling was heard from the reeds below. By following the path of the slight movement of reeds it was finally picked out from its camouflage and could then be followed with the scope.
Also at Bosherston a Firecrest along the path below the court, a flock of c30 Siskins feeding in Alders and a Chiffchaff.
In addition to Rich C's post, there was also a Great Northern Diver, 3 Goldeneye and 8 Great-crested Grebes in Angle Bay.
At Castlemartin Corse there was a good count of ducks on the flood including c300 Wigeon. Also over 500 Lapwing and a Merlin.
