This morning, at Corsydd Llanglofan during and in between the heavy showers, several juv sedge warblers and a couple of juv reed warblers - some seen from the boardwalk looking decidedly soggy! Two recently fledged sparrowhawks calling for food from the trees - an adult male came and went very quickly.
7-8 swifts, numerous young swallows and a few sand martins flying over Castlemorris suggestive of an end of summer pre-migration gathering - and who can blame them!
Later back at Stackpole, not much different really (rain or heavier rain) a family of sparrowhawks heard in the woodland, several swifts feeding over Bosherston Lake where at least 8 teal were roosting on the shore under the shelter of trees with about 40 mallards (mostly juvs) - to wet even for ducks!
28th July - another soggy day
