Info Post
An adult Canada Goose with three large, about three - quarter size, youngsters walked down the beach and onto the sea at Newgale this afternoon. They took no notice of the many people at play. The brood was probably from a nearby nest site, perhaps Bathesland Water. By the time I had to leave they had progressed beyond Maidenhall Point going in the direction of Rickets Head, keeping in shallow water inshore of the surf line. What caused this drastic move and where they were trying to reach we may never know.
