Info Post
My almost final visit this evening to check if the final kittiwake chick had fledged (only 8 have fledged from 22 nests) - still this is better than "zero" for last couple of seasons or more - was also rewarding for an unexpected bonxie patrolling the gull colony. It perched for a time on the turf over-looking the main stack bay.

A reasonably approachable bird was resident along the Range for a while in late summer a few years back (the one in the picture). It spent most of its time targeting juv herring gulls. Probably not the same bird but you have to wonder if it could be, or even the bird Graham Rees saw inland not so long ago - what are the chances I wonder?
