Info Post
A very clear, but windy, morning with large numbers of finches, pipits and buntings in the hedgerows, fields and moving across the peninsular. Highlights were multiple flocks of 20-30 Skylarks, and a flock of 100+ Chaffinches with a few Greenfinches. There are also increasing numbers of Starlings, with several flocks of 1000+ feeding in the fields. yesterday afternoon saw even larger numbers balling up near Marloes Mere and being harrassed by a Sparrowhawk.

On Marloes Mere numbers of Wigeon, Teal, Shoveller are building up, along with a couple of pairs of Gadwall and Dabchicks. A Harrier flew off, but I could not identify it.

Snipe seem to have come in good numbers for so early in the Autumn: 4 flushed in a matter of minutes in the large fallow Trehill Farm field on the South side by the Car Park.
