More geese

On wednesday evening just after dusk Anna saw 12 geese high over Marloes Mere and heading for Skokholm along with a couple of hundred Canada's - from the calls she thought they were Whitefronts and tonight at St Brides 9 flew over (silent and high) heading for Stack Rocks area. reasonable views over and heading away also suggested Whitefronts.

At Midland just over 200 Canada's this morning but not much else around although the 9 Greenfinches seen heading for Skomer were the first I have seen for many weeks - none of the feeders yet. I wonder if the trichmonosis disease outbreak in Greenies has clobbered them to the extent that we won't see many this winter - any flocks anywhere????
