Info Post

How does everybody manage to get their pictures where they want them?

The Bobolink popped up at about 08:30 down the bottom of North Valley - it looked like it was sunning itself in the tops of the willows. After about 3 minutes though it flew off high to the west but dropped down again somewhere between North Pond and North Valley Crossing. Despite looking for the rest of the morning I never saw it again

This little fella also popped up down North Valley - I thought I'd got a first for the island but apparently Pembrokeshire's first, & Skomer's last, Dartford Warbler was on here in 1971

With the wind dropping there were a lot more birds around generally - 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 45 Skylarks,1 Tree Pipit, 1 Redstart (first of the autumn!!), 1 Black Redstart, 7 Wheatears, 35 Song Thrushes, 25 Redwings, 8 Ring Ouzels, 1 Mistle Thrush (first of the autumn), 13 Blackcaps, 13 Chiffchaffs, 12 Goldcrests, 1 Spotted Flycatcher, 30 Blue Tits, 1 Tree Sparrow, 3 Bramblings (first of the autumn), 12 Siskins & a Lapland Bunting
