Lots more duck on the Mere than of late - perhaps a bit of cold weather movement. Nothing unusual but good numbers particulalrly of Wigeon, Teal and Shoveler.
On the adjoining field 370 Canada Geese - the farmer is in love with them and his sheep are starving!!!!!!
On the Deer Park this morning just four Chough, a couple of Skylarks and a few Stonechat but some Song Thrush in Martins Haven valley too - otherwise very quiet.
